It's a short walk from the car although the climb up inside the arch can be challenging. It can be photographed from outside the arch, from inside the arch, early or late, or even at night. It can be crowded up there as everyone arrives late in the afternoon to get the warm, late daylight on the arch. There are also a couple other arches you can access off this trail. The trail does become primitive and continue on however, we turned here. You can get a view of the arch from the top of a hill, but I recommend walking down it and into the sand by the fence to get a closer look at it. There is some up and down on this trail, but I would not call it difficult. There were other people on the trail, but I would not call it crowded and there were several times we were the only people in view.

If you're here in the summer, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to go out early. It was already getting warm, but there was actually quite a bit of shade on this trail, unlike most in the park. We made a bee line for this area first thing in the morning and began the hike no later than 7 AM in July. You access Landscape Arch via the Devils Garden Trail all the way at the end of the park.
