The channel’s Help 4 Hungry Service comes every year with a single mission of providing support and help to food banks facing or tackling problems in their services. Since the beginning of this project, both KNBC Live and Telemundo52 have given 675000 dollars amount in grant to the eligible non-profit companies and groups serving for the betterment of local communities in Southland. Project Innovation, in 2020, gave 225000 dollars grant money to five different Southern California organizations that were working forefront in tackling the social services problems and providing the required COVID-19 need in their respective societies. The program serves in eleven markets, including the NBC Los Angeles and Telemundo52 LA channels will choose and grant the aid to qualified non-profits situated in and operating in the Southern California region and whose services are assisting in resolving the everyday issues of the communities. Plus, it also widens the inclusion environment throughout the entire southland. The President and General Manager of NBC4 stated that extra support offers the charity organizations an opportunity to inflate and serve various diverse communities.
