Chase has its 5/24 Rule that limits you to five new cards (from any issuer) within a 24-month period. For example, Discover won’t let you own more than two of its cards.

This kind of problem is easy to clear up if it was due to a typo. Red flags will go up if it can’t verify your address or Social Security number.
